The Corruption of Concord
Art Statement
The Gracchi were both consuls of the Roman Republic during a period of high inequality and political discord. Both were assassinated by an angry mob after their political rival, Octavius, rallied the crowd to kill them. The question of what my art is for is the only inane question you can ask me. Rather, it is the infinite process of asking why I paint that is the purpose of painting.
